Fredericksburg Farmers Market Guidelines

 

FFM is a local, producer/grower only market.  Our vendors are located within our geographic neighborhood of Gillespie and adjacent counties.  We do consider vendors from other Texas markets who grow or provide exceptional fresh food products that are unable to be grown locally.

 

A farm tour by FFM representatives is required before selling at our market to ensure you meet our guidelines and to learn first hand about your operation.  At that time we will answer all questions about market setup and our mutual responsibilities.

 

We offer a balance of products in order to facilitate the economic success of each vendor.  Currently we have lamb, beef, cheese and bread vendors.  If you have these products and would like to be put on a waiting list, please send in an application (no fee required) that we will keep on file.

 

Prepared food vendors must have a permit from the City of Fredericksburg which costs $110.00 and the food or product must be prepared in a commercial kitchen.  Kelli Olfers is the City/County Sanitarian and can be reach at kolfer@fbgtx.org or 830.997.7521.  We currently have a market café that offers prepared food and drinks for consumption on site or as takeaway.

 

Currently all vendor spots are taken within the covered area of KinderHalle by our committed vendors.  Any new or seasonal vendors will be required to provide their own popup tents and will be located immediately adjacent to KinderHalle.

 

The annual membership fee is $25.00 for full time vendors and $15.00 weekly.  Annual fee for seasonal/short term vendors that are accepted is $10.00 and $20.00 weekly.  All vendors must have completed application and submit to a farm/growing area tour prior to attending their first market.
